Speculation of problems at Freeport with power draw also appear to have panned out, with the terminal reportedly experiencing an outage of 12 hours yesterday.
As we had predicted, this showed itself in the form of sharp downward revisions to LNG feedgas demand numbers, leaving yesterday at 12.9 Bcf/d; this gap was made up with 1.6 Bcf/d of gains today, however, as Freeport bounced back to full operations that evening.
Today’s feedgas demand shows 14.5 Bcf/d.
