China’s electrotech challenges the global LNG wave

The Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) is formally integrating gas infrastructure planning – including LNG regasification – into its long-term electricity system roadmap. This positions LNG as a flexible, and lower-emission alternative to firm up renewable electricity. LNG supply potential can now directly influence where and how Australia builds new electricity infrastructure, especially gas-fired power generation. Source: AEMO
