UK gas imports: Qatari LNG imports down by 87 percent

UK gas imports fell by almost a fifth in Quarter 1 2024 compared the same period in 2023. This follows reduced requirements for transhipments through the UK with LNG imports falling the most, dropping by 47 per cent compared to Quarter 1 2023. Imports of Qatari LNG to the UK saw a notable decline, falling 87 per cent, the lowest level for Quarter 1 since Quarter 1 2008.
