No export cargo cancellations have been reported from US LNG terminals so far for the month of December, a first since the shake-up in global demand resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic this past spring.
This follows minimal (<5) cancellations expected in the month of November, which will already promote higher terminal utilization in coming weeks.
With JKM recording a price of $6.72/MMBtu yesterday and other international LNG benchmarks also trading above $5, the economics are present for US LNG exports to run at full tilt going into winter.
