LNG feedgas demand shows a new record high as of Christmas day of 14.9 Bcf/d, increasing 0.2 Bcf/d from the previous record.
Heightened geopolitical risk in the Red Sea continues to affect LNG. SK E&S, a significant South Korean LNG importer and power utility, holds a contract for lifting 2.2 million metric tons per year of Freeport LNG.
SK’s LNG carrier Prism Courage is now the latest vessel to be redirected from the Suez Canal to the Cape of Good Hope shipping route, delaying its arrival in South Korea to the end of January.
LNG feedgas was reported at 14.7 Bcf/d today.
