This afternoon (January 26) European LNG imports reached a record monthly high of over 8.1m tonnes, according to ICIS LNG Edge.

The actual total for January ’22 will be far higher with 27 cargoes still due into European terminals over the next few days.

LNG’s share in Europe’s gas supply mix could reach around 25% this month as a result.
