Global LNG trade rose 2% year-on-year by Q3 2025 as Europe’s +21% import growth offset declining Asian demand. Overall, Europe’s position as the sink for flexible LNG cargoes strengthened, while Asia’s demand softness freed up tonnage for Atlantic routes.
