Global gas markets review: tracking the key metrics

Global LNG supply continues to be higher than in 2022, but growth has been slower than expected. To date the supply increase has largely come from the return of plants that were out of action in 2022 or from the ramp-up of new facilities, while new projects have been delayed and there has also been unforeseen maintenance at other plants. The result is that total output is up by 8Bcmyear-on-year, but this is half the growth seen in 2022 at the same stage of the year.
