Global LNG Review – June 2020

Japan imported 4.580 million tonnes of LNG in May 2020, 18% less than one year ago, and the lowest in a month since 4.233 million tonnes in May 2009. Japan’s average LNG import price of USD 9.45 per million Btu in May 2020 was more than three times as high as assessed spot LNG prices in Northeast Asia for delivery in May 2020.
