Natural gas to become the world’s largest primary energy source in the mid-2030s

In the coming decade, global natural gas production is anticipated to rise by 10% compared with 2022, reaching 5,063 billion m3 in around 2027, then stabilizing for approximately a decade before gradually declining about 15% to 4,272 billion m3 by the end of the forecast.
