Review of global LNG markets: August 2023

Labour-management negotiations are underway for three large-scale LNG projects in Western Australia, two of which have not reached an agreement at the time of writing, and protected industrial actions may be possible on and after 7 September, which may cause delays or reductions in LNG shipments. The second quarter 2023 company results, which reflect the impact of the decline in LNG and gas prices in the first half of the year were announced by major energy, suppliers and profits generally declined due to the lower realised prices.
