In its earnings call on Thursday (Oct. 31), Cheniere Energy announced that it is on track to start LNG production from the first train of its Corpus Christi LNG Stage 3 expansion by the end of 2024, with full completion expected in 2025-2026.
The expansion adds 10 million mt/year across seven midscale trains, boosting Cheniere’s total projected output to 47-48 million mt by 2025, up from 45 million mt today.
Despite regulatory uncertainties and planned maintenance at Sabine Pass, Cheniere remains optimistic about leveraging its brownfield advantage for further expansions.
The company also introduced a methane intensity target for 2027, aiming for competitive environmental performance amid growing demand for cleaner LNG.
