Last Friday, the IEA released its Q1 2024 Gas Market Report, which indicated an expectation of a return to strong growth this year for international markets, specifically in fast-growing Asian economies and nations with strong gas supply in the Middle East and Africa.
The organization emphasized the considerable uncertainty of its market expectations due to several factors, citing in particular the possibility of LNG delays and the further development of already-present geopolitical tensions which have the potential to cause supply disruptions.
For these reasons, the IEA’s forecast for 2024 includes high levels of price volatility as well.
