Last year approx. 180 US LNG cargoes were cancelled reducing LNG supply by approx. 13.5mt.
This reduced freight demand by about 20-30 LNG carriers depending on trading route.
This year US cargo cancellations are only 7 where 2 were caused by lack of ship in January and 5 due to the big freeze:
With 130 of the 180 cargo cancellations occurring in H2 last year, the export growth will thus be very strong in H2-21 with global exports up by approx 10%.
