BHI U.S. gas rig count for week ending 12/31/2021: net flat from the week prior, standing at 83, which represents 65% of the gas rig count at the start of 2020.

Looking back while shivering at 2020, we’ve already begun to notice some interesting insights – one of which is a drop in Russia’s natural gas exports…… compared to 2019, Russia’s gas exports to countries outside the former FSRU were down ~10%…..meanwhile, U.S. LNG loadings increased by ~32%, based on preliminary data, from 2019 to 2020 as Gulf Coast capacity commissioned during the year.
