Flows at the early-stage Plaquemines LNG terminal have ramped higher over the weekend and sustained strength as of yesterday morning (December 9).
While the specific usage of the gas is unknown, the move higher is a good sign after some stagnation in previous days.
Plaquemines is set to add significant LNG export capacity to the Gulf Coast, with production expected to begin by the end of the year.
Project owner Venture Global, which also owns Calcasieu Pass, has already signed away some cargoes from the terminal for early 2025.
