A cold winter in the northern hemisphere led to a sustained period of high international gas prices and resulted in an increase in gas flowing to Curtis Island for liquefied natural gas (LNG) export. This represented the second highest quarterly east coast LNG export, just behind the record set the previous quarter. See the section “Gas market dynamics” on page 30.
