LNG Market Review – May

Japan imported 5.132 million tonnes of LNG in April 2020, 8.8% less than one year ago, and the smallest for one month since May 2010. China imported 5.097 million tonnes of LNG in April 2020, almost comparable to Japan. During the first four months of the year, the country imported 20.30 million tonnes of LNG, 4.6% more than one year ago. During the same period, the four major markets in Northeast Asia imported 68.42 million tonnes of LNG, 3.0% more than one year ago.
