This expansion includes two liquefaction trains, additional LNG storage and loading infrastructure, and a new feedgas pipeline, with the potential to start LNG exports by 2030.

After signaling confidence in future LNG expansion plans despite the current White House moratorium on its latest earnings call, the company is putting its money where its mouth is, as the current suspension applies to the proposed expansion as well.

The FERC application signals that Cheniere is confident this will not impact their expansion plans, citing long-term agreements already in place for the project.

The company emphasizes the expansion’s benefits in improving global energy security and environmental outcomes by replacing more emission-intensive fuels.
