Global Gas Market Report: LNG imports reach 31.5Mt in September

Global LNG imports reached 31.5 Mt in September 2023, up 2.1% y-o-y. The Asia Pacific region, particularly China, India, Japan and Thailand, drove the growth in LNG imports. Europe recorded its third monthly dip in LNG imports, down 22% y-o-y, due to high gas storage, lower gas demand and diverging spot LNG prices between Asia Pacific and Europe Global LNG exports rose by 2.8% y-o-y supported by an expansion in LNG exports in Algeria, Mozambique, Oman, Peru, Qatar and the United States
