The assessed spot LNG price for near-month delivery to Northeast Asia, JKM for the previous week (March 28- April 1) continued to be affected by the European gas market, rising to USD 37/MBtu late in the week but falling back the next day, rising slightly to USD 36/MBtu on April 1.
In the Northeast Asian region, LNG demand is limited at present due to rising temperatures and China’s lockdown of cities.
The European gas price TTF rose to USD 40/MBtu on March 31 due to supply concerns over ruble payments to Russian natural gas suppliers but fell back and was at USD 36.3/MBtu on April 1.
The U.S. gas price HH remained in the mid-USD 5/MBtu range with little price movement.
