Initial reports indicate that Cameron LNG has escaped the fury of Hurricane Delta. This comes as a sigh of relief, as Gulf Coast facility Train 2 operations have resumed. It is expected that Trains 1 and 3 will start-up on October 13th and October 21st, respectively.
Additionally, Maryland’s Cove Point LNG facility also completed maintenance that had begun on September 21st. The resumption of operations in these facilities will prompt higher LNG demand in the long term.
This is appropriately reflected in the upward movement of the forward curve in the outer years.
