Can demand for imported LNG in Asia increase because it is a `cleaner’ energy source?

In some Asian countries LNG’s growth may be hindered due to competing fuels (coal), renewables, and fears about security of supply. But if costs can be reduced to deliver LNG at $6-7/MMbtu, then large imports of LNG will be likely (China, India..)
