Australian LNG: revenues to decline but volumes expected to hold

Australia’s LNG export revenues are expected to decline from $72 billion in 2023–24 to just under $45 billion by 2028–29, as volumes edge down and prices ease. Export volumes are expected to hold close to 80 Mt annually during the outlook period but may decrease in the latter years as producing reserves start to deplete. Gas prices eased from the records of 2022 but have subsequently risen slightly as conflicts in Ukraine (in particular) and Gaza continue.
