North America’s newest LNG Export Terminal, the Calcasieu Pass LNG Facility, continued to ramp up over the last few weeks.
They are actively commissioning the eighth of nine blocks, and feed gas flows have hit 1.2-1.4 Bcf/d as they move forward.
Venture Global, the developer behind Calcasieu, is also moving forward on their second development – Plaquemines LNG.
They made a positive final investment decision on that facility last month and it will be a 13.33 Mtpa export terminal located in Louisiana.
Plaquemines was the first LNG facility in the U.S. to reach financial close since the Calcasieu Pass project back in 2019.
